A NEW PEST.
■ Press Association. Wellington, January 30. A bulletin on the sheep maggot with a coloured plate of the fly by Mr Gilruth, Ohief Government Veterinarian, has been issued by the Department of Agriculture, and a copy is being forwarded to all sheep owners in the Dominion. The pest lias only within the last year or two been positively identified in New Zealand, but alveady its ravages in some localities are serious. The illustrated bulletin will enable farmers to identify the fly and check its spread and it directs them how to protect their flocks from attack.
