I LONDON MARKETS. WOOL UNCHANGED. Press Association—Copyright. London, January 27. Wool of all sorts is keenly competed for, and merinos are firmer than at the opening of the sales. Received Jan. 29, 4.54 p.m. London, Jan. 28. Wool sales show fair business. The market for all sorts is unchanged. Americans are operating well. 1 Colonial Bank shares are quoted :— New South Wales, buyer 41, seller 42; Union t Buyer 58, seller 59. The rest are unchanged since last quotations. STOCK REPORT. Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report that having sold a portion of Messrs Fraser & Son's Komako property they held a very successful clearing sale of surplus stock at the homestead, Komako, on Monday, 27th inst. With outside entries about 2600 sheep were yarded and 120 head of cattle. Bidding for sheep was rather quiet, owing no doubt to the continuance of the dry weather; j however all were quitted at satisfactory prices. In cattle competition was keen, and with exception of one small line, all were disposed of at full market value. The following is a list of priceß:—Sheep: 2-tooth to f.f.m. breeding ewes 10s 7d to 14s 3d, ditto (low condition) 7s 6d, 2 and 4-tooth wethers, small 10s Bd, shorn lambs 7s 5d to 8s 3d, cull lambs 3s 9d, Romney rams from to 2% guineas. Cattle: 3 to bullocks £5, forward cows £3, cows with calves £2 4s 6d, forward 2 to 3-year heifers £3 3s 6d, 2-year heifers £2 Is, yearling to 15-months heifers 34s 6d, yearling to 18-months steers £2 9s 6d, weaners 18s 6d.

Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., reportWe had a large yarding of sheep at Hunterville oil Tuesday and a fair number of cattle came forward. Owing to continued dry weather buyers were chary of operating except at low figures, but a considerable portion of yarding was sold under the hammer. Sheep: Fat ewes lis to 13s 3d, breeding ewes shorn s.m. to lis 6d, woolly 13s, lambs 3a lOd to 6s- 3d, woolly 7s 7d. A splendid line of 2-tootli wethers was passed in. Cattle: Forward cows £2 6s to £2 lis-, fat cows £3 2s 6d to £4 There was little inquiry for steers.
