THE MAYOR'S MEETING
Mr E. O. Hurley, who has himself held the office of Mayor of Palmerstou, will take the chair at the public meeting called' by his Worship the Mayor for Thursday evening, when Mr Essex proposes to take the ratepayers into his confidence as to the situation between himself and the nine councillors, and in regard to borough affairs generally. As it is anticipated that numerous questions will be asked, it is specially ' requested that these be put in writing and handed up to the chairman, when his Worship will undertake to give them attention.
