Danedin, December 7.
George Stirling, storekeeper, at Peliohet Bay, died suddenly, seemingly from heart disease. Helen McTaggart, aged 62, was found dead by her husband on the floor of her bedroom.
Nelson, December 7* Mr T. M. Grant, Acting Chief Surveyor in the Lands Office, who broke his leg in a coach accident at Matakiraki a fortnight ago, died at Murchison this morning. His body is being brought to Nelson. He leaves a widow and two children.
Whangarei, December 7, <$lita< Brown, the 18 month old daughter of a settler at Pnkeptthi, was found drowned in a creek at Kaimamaku. She was last seen alive playing with two other children outside half an hour earlier.
