At the wool sales there was Bpirited competition for merinos, which formed the balk of the offering. FEILDING MARKET REPORT. A. H. Atkinson and Co., Ltd., report :—At our usual Friday sale Wβ offered a large entry of pigs of a good class, which were competed for by ft large and representative attendance of buyers. A fair entry of ponltry oame to hand and sold at prices satisfactory to vendors. Oows and calves made np to £2 ss. Oows close to profit, £3. Quotations.-— Howes.—Six-year-old farm mare £20; 4-year-old saddle and harness horse £14; aged gelding £4. Pig3._Weaners 10s 3d, 12s 9d, 31s; Blips 15s 3d, 15s 6d, stores 21s 6d to 87s 6d, porkers, small, 15s, medium 28s, good 30s to 335, sows,, empty, 81s to 335, boars £1 Is. Poultry.—Hens and 4 chicks Is 3d each, hens Is 10d to 3s Id, roosters Iβ 8d to 2s sd, ducka 2b 3d, turkeys 5s 7d to 6s lid. All at each.

Produce.—Pig potatoes Is to 2s 3d, eating do 5s 6d. 7s, 7s 6d, 16s 6d per sack; barley 5s per bushel; oats, feed, 4s 3d to 4s 6d; chaff 5s 6d to 6s per sack. On Wednesday we held a sucoessf nl clearing sale at Mr F. J. Saxby's farm, Makino. We had a good attendance of buyers and cows sold well, averaging £5. Quotations :— Oows, empty, £3 2s 6d; in milk, £3, £3 12s 6d, £3 15s, £4 23 6d, £4 6s, £5 10s, £5 15s, £6, £8 10s. STOCK MARKET. The New Zealand Loan & Mercan- . tile Agency Co., Ltd., Feilding, report as follow:—At Feilding on Friday we had a moderate entry of sheep and cattle. There was a fair demand and all lines quitted at satisfactory prices. Quotations:— Sheep, cull ewes in wool 10s lid, fat and forward ewes, shorn, 18s 7d, 2-tooth wethers, shorn, 15s, ewes and lambs 35s 6d. Cattle: Mixed yearlings - Slt6d,,store cows £2 11s to £2 13s, yearling steers £2 12s 6d, 2-year Steers £3 9s 6d, fat cows £5 163 to £6. Messrs A. H.
