Following Stolypin's justification of the Government in the Duma, Rodioheff, member of the Cadet party, declared that the hangman's noose would henceforth be known as Stolypin's neckerchief. Members of the Right rushed the tribune and attempted to assault Rodicheff, but the Left made a counter rush and rescued him. The sitting was suspended. Received Dec. 2,11.8 p.m. St. Petersburg, Dec. 2. Roditcheff privately explained to Stolypin that his remark was Eot intended to be personal. He hoped the House would believe the sincerity of his regrets. Stolypin replied, " I forgive you." At Homsakoff's instance, Koditcheff has been excluded for a fortnight, only 96 of the Left opposing the motion. The whole House, including the majority of the Cadets cheered Stolypin during the sitting. The extreme Right promised to support the new regime and respect the Douma.
