A burglary occurred at Glenalvon Boardinghouse, Auckland, in the early hours of Monday morning. Miss Dennison, daughter of Judge Dennison, who was sleeping in an upstairs bedroom, was awakened and found that her dressing table had been relieved of a large and varied assortment of silver toilet ware, her owe. property, valued at from £10 to £20. A light-fingered visitor had evidently mounted to the window by the fire escape, and without entering through the window of Miss Dennson's apartment, helped hiihself to all withiii reach on the dressing table. An alarm was raised but the thief escaped.
