WAIRARAPA POULTRY SHOW.
Pjr Press Association. Masteeton, July 26. The Wairarapa Poultry Canary and Pigeon Show opened to-day with good all round exhibits. In Langshans, H. Madely (Masterton) was the principal prize taker. In Plymouth Rocks, W. J. Spackman and Mrs W. Wakely took the prizes. In Orpingtons, T.H. Eutherfurd, A. Snodgrass, J. H. Payton, A. Maxwell. T. Moor and E. Adams (Dannevirke) took prizes in Wyandottes. T. R. Boyes (Karori), W. A. Boyes and W. Cruickshank (Eketahuna), J. H. Payton and Mrs E. Ross (Masterton) secured the majority of first prizes in Minorcas. W. Cochrane, T. J. Raynor, and A. J. Hendry took first prizes in Leghorn*. J. J. Thomasen (Ekatahuna), T. W. Barnes (Masterton), and C. B. Eagle (Carterton) were the principal prize-takers in Andalusians. R. Bailey (Karori) won the North Island Championship. T. J. France (Lower Hutt) took two first prizes, and S. P. Brown (Petone) one first in Houdans. M. "Wilton (Masterton) won all the first prizes in Campines and Favourelles. T. J. P. Cobb (Masterton) took two firsts in the game class. R. E. Graham secured all the prizes except one in Hamburgs. W. Drummond and G. E. Fearn (Karori), Mrs T. Beggar (Pahiatua). B. Rayner and L. H. Spaokman were prize takers. In Bantams R. H. Spackman took all the first prizes, E. Playle (Dalefield) won all the prizes for turkeys and geese. In Aylesbury ducks C. F. Hives, H. J. E. Meyrick and G. Watson were the principal prize takers. In pigeons, D. Murphy, R. E. Crawley, H. Madeley, J. W. Holland (Wellington) were the
principal prize takers. The North Island Championship' -was won by D. Murphy (Wellington) with an Oriental frill. In canaries N. Lute (Dannevirke), H. L. Pickett (Masterton), Miss B. Cross (Masteitou) were prize takers.
