Hawke's Bay Meeting. Notes by " Augur." Attention of racing enthusiasts will be turned to Hastings to-day, where the Hawke's Bay J.C. will hold their Autumn, Meeting. Racing in this district, which had been somewhat stagnant, is evidently now on the up grade. Quite an exceptionally good response has been received, by Mr J. E. Henrys from owners for today's events, and a capital day's spcrt should result. My anticipations are as follows:— Longlands Hurdles, If miles.—Merriwai 11.3 and Nadador 10.2. Nursery, 5 furlongs.—Oxton 8.12 and Monardo 6.13. Hawke's Bay Cup, 1} miles.—Volume 8.6 and Sir Tristram 8.7. Poukawa Hack, 5 furlongs.—Prosser's best and Waicola 7.8. Porangahau Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Lady Annie 9.3 and Medallist 8.0. Karamu Hurdles, 1} miles.—Black Bey--nard 10.8 and Florio 9.9. Autumn Handicap, 1 mile.—Kurawaka 7.12 and Pantalon 6.13.
