Justice Grantham gave judgment for the executors of the late Mr Penny against Bishop Neville, of Dunedin, for the recovery of £10,000 under a bond signed iu 1860 on his marriage. Judgment was suspended to give the Bishop time to pay.

The Bishop states that it is his intention to appeal and declines to give any explanation regarding the grounds of the action.
