WELLINGTON TRAM ACCIDENT.
(Press Association.) Wellington, May 4. An inquest was opened this afternoon, on the body of Mrs Eliza Bell, victim of the tram accident. The Coroner said it was his intention, in order to avoid as far as possible the risk of future accidents, to take all available evidence as to the causer of the accident. Dr Hogg, who was called to deceased, said he found she had sustained injuries to her skull, cheek bones, and nose', fractures of the breast bones and of the' ribs of the left side and there was no doubt that the injuries were caused by a car falling upon deceased. The inquest was adjourned until Tuesday.
