In Danger Of Being Taken
Seriously.

London, Yesterday. The Liverpool Post publishes a cable from E. G. Jollicoo containing statements as to tho condition of Australia similar to those made to an Australian interviewer on Monday.
Mr Coghlan (Agent-General) in a letter to the Post protests against such fantastic statements and contends that those in want of employment are only three per cent of the bread-winners, which is a Bingularly favourable and a much lower proportion than in America or Liverpool. He denies that Australia is being denuded of population stating there is only migration from one State to another, really a healthy sign of the return of people to the land. All States are trying their utmost to attract population. He adds that evidently Mr Jellicoe is confusing the law against contract labour, and the law against undesirable immigrants. He warmly protests that the plague of ill-informed criticism is doing incalculable harm to Imperialism.
