ROWLEY'S WAXWORKS.
Crowds again flocked to the Lyceum Theatre last evening to see Mr Eowley's Waxworks and be amused with the two hours' variety entertainment he provides. The wonders of Professor Boxland's scientific inventions and curiosities kept the audience in a state of amazement during the time they were being exhibited; and, on the other hand, the buffooneries of the comedians brought tears of laughter to the eyes of old and young.
To-night there will be a complete change of programme, and also a singing competition for men. Comic or sentimental aonga can be given. Large entries are expected, and the item should prove a great draw. A prize of a silver watch and chain will be given to the winner. On Thursday night a oat show will be held, and on Friday night a silver watch will be given to the prettiest dressed girl under 10 years of age. On Saturday a matinee will take place, and in the evening a dog show.
