Conservative And Liberal
Disagreement And Disorder.
Beceived February 6, 9.58 p.m. St. Petersburg, Yesterd«.y The Odessa University has suspended its lectures, and the Kieff University has closed owing to political demonstration by the students.
Strikes at Skaterinaslav and Marinpal arc spreading. Two addresses have been submitted by the nobility of Moscow. The Conservative address states that the nobility are relying on the Czar's forethought to reorganise after peace Russia's^ internal life on a basis of autocracp. This was adopted by 218 to
The Liberal address favouring elected representatives was rejected by 213 to 153,
Ultimately, with a view of expressing the Assembly's full wishes, bc:h were adopted.
The nobility of Yaroslav urged the Czar to summon the electeds and discuss tho Christmas decree. Cherkoff, reprethe Liberal minority, and Kursk nobility refused to sign the address to the Czar. The Assembly ultimately closed in disorder.
