A NARROW ESCAPE.

New Yokk, Yesterday. In tho Supremo Court, George Thoin-<K Hutlon ami Henry Avenoll, on a third triil on a charge of mpo commined at lluwora in March last, were found guilty and sentenced to three years' hard labour each. Mr Justico Edward*, in passing sentence, remarked that ho had taken the character of tho woman into consideration, and only gave tho men three years; but had it been on another woman, the men would have gono in young men and come out iniddle-nged.
