FISHING ON SUNDAY.

Under the above heading, the Christchurch Press contains the following letter from a correspondent: " Sir, —In to-day's issue you state that Mr T. E. Taylor, M.H.R., contractor for the construction of the Christchurch tramways, and Mr Chamberlain, engineer to the Tramway Board, were members of a pleasant little family party which went a-fishing in Akaroa Harbor on Sunday afternoon. May I ask whether this is the same Mr T. E. Taylor who presided at at least one of the Torrey-Alexander mission meetings ? May 1 also inquire when we may look for an expression oi opinion from those Ministers' Associations which so emphatically condemned Mr Seddon for catching a few fish on Sunday ? I pause for a reply."

Another correspondent has the following:—

" Sir, —Surely that is not true about Mr T. E. Taylor fishing at the Akaroa Heads last Sunday. Whai will the Ministers1 Association and the Hight Hon. Eichard say aboui it? And Mr Chamberlain fishing, too ! Mr Chamberlain, of the Tramway Board, and Mr T. E. Taylor, of the Tramway Construction Syndicate! Oh, fie!"
