FOOTBALL
The Eongotea Club has decided to again compete for the shield in the Manawatu Union.
The following A. and B. senior teams will represent the Institute Football Club in the seven-a-side tournament on ! Saturday. A. team—Tyrell, B. Baker r Lutton, McMinn, Boon, Sweeney, Adams, and McNicol. B. team—Curtayne, Burson, Gallagher, Kusb, Doughey, Greatbead, Karton, Scott. The following will represent Old Boys in the Seven-Aside on Saturday :—Hall (*. McMinn, Hepburn, Galloway,' Skelley, Smith, Bateman, A. McMinn The following will represent the Institute juniors in the Seven-Aside tournament on Saturday:—Miller, Egan Simpson, Brown, Murray, Cox, Killop The annual meeting of the Beferees" Association will bo hold on Tuesday evening next at Mr W. Bunting's room£ Considerable interest attaches to th« football sports to be held to-morrow a? the Showgrounds. The seven-a-siS events shonld produce some excellent games, and the other competition* wffl by no means be devoid of intent Entries close to-day. WMB*
