HOCKEY.
Practice matches will be played on tho Showground this afternoon. Tho grounds have been allotted as follows :—
No. i, Paliiii'i'siim v. Pioniicr; No. 2, Old lioys; No. 3, Midland v. Methodist.
Following are the Old Boys' teams :— Luxford's team : Jones, Luxford, Tew, R. Fraser, Adams, Simpson, D. Soronscn, R. Duncan, Astle, A. I'edevsen, T. Childs. Crump's team : Walkley, Coles, Collinson, McMinn, Gabites, Wood, J. Hadfield, A. Sorensen, D. Fraser, H, Sorensen, W. Pedersen, Crump. The following will represent Palmerston Hockey Club in a practice match with the Pioneers at the Showground today at 3 p.m.:—D. Scott, H. Scott, Maclean, Strang (2), Slack (2), Drew, Louisson, McMurrav and Wilson.
Pioneer team: Cameron, Burbush, Bell, Boon, Fenton (2), Donaldson, Bobinson, Kitchen, A. Eadfielri, Scott, Giort;i, Poltridge, Bruce, Allen, Tucker, McDonald, Gallaway, Smith, Penman. Methodists and Midland will play a practice match ulso. The team to represent the former club will be chosen from the following :—Amos, Billens, Crooke, Cobb, Cunninghame, Harris, Harvey, Jameson, KAbblewhite, Archer, Collie, Poad, Richardson, Sinclair, and Thompson.
