Oaptam Lenfant, who was accompanied by a small party, met with thrillmg experiences while traversing the Central African districts. The people were savages, and he had to make his way through almost impenetrable vegetation. He discovered many cataracts along the waterway connecting the basin of the Sbani and Bonne rivers, and traversed wonderfully rich cotton and rubber-growing pastoral country in the vicinity of Logone.
