Teroelet Wins Cup,
(Per Press Association.) Nelson, Last Night. The Nelson races were favored with splendid weather. The sum of £2570 was put through the machine. A protest was lodged against the stakeß in the Cup being paid on Tercelet, on the ground that the horse was not entered in the name of the owner. Results :— Hurdles.— Seaweed 1, Piainstone 2, Ashley 3. Also started : Seabird.Manupango. Time, 3min 3sec. Divs, £1 18s and 17s.
Wakefield Hack.—Coxswain 1, Hauhaka 2, Perilla 3. Also started: Tynan, Gloriana, Pateretcre. Time, lmin 35sec, Divs, £1 17s and 14s.
Nelson Cup.—Tercelet 1, Niotiti 2, The Guesser 3. Also started: Hiki and Cateress. Good race. Time, 2min 13sec Divs. JES 4s and 15s.
District Hack—Shelter 1, Seafoam 2, Tynan 3. Also ran: The Pearler, Keel, Apia, Purukai. Time, lrnia 20sec. Divs, £2 10s and £2 4s.
Grandstand Handicap—Puresilver 1, Sedgemere 2, Murmur 3. Also started: Hiki, Greensleeves, and White Ribbon. A magnificent race,, the horses being bunched from start to finish which was close. Time, lmin 18 4-ssec. Divs, £1 13s and £3 15s.
Hope Hack—Pokeka 1, Haukaha 2, Seaweed 3. Also started: Gloriana. Tune, lmin 48sec. Div, £1 13 8 .
