GOLD WATCH FOR ME HOGG. MAORI PRESENT FOR MR SEDDON. TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Pep Press Association. Masterton, Thursday. A picnic was held to-day in honour of Mr Hogg, member for Masterton, who was presented with a valuable gold watch, subscribed for by his constituents. The Premier was presented by the Wairarapa natives with a valuable gold and greenstone mere, as a token of the Maoris' appreciation of Mr geddon's • work while Premier of the colony. The Wairarapa lawn tennis championship meeting opened to-day. Anions the competitors is Parker, champion of New Zealand. None of the matches are finished yet.
