(PreßS Association.—Cap/right.) Melboukne, August 27. In the Legislative Assembly the Stat? Treasurer delivered bis Budget speach. The revenue for the year was £8,087,000, of which £300,000 was returned to the Commonwealth* Tbe actual receipts were 2605,000 more than the estimate. The increase is largely discoursed by the unusual expenditure in connection with the Royal visit and the Federel celebrations.
The total expenditure was £7,709 000, which is £228,000 more than the estimate.
It is expected to close the year whh a balance of £136,000.
