STOCK REPORT.

During the current we have held sales at Dannevirke, Woodville, Pahiatua, and Waikanae, together with our annual sheep fair yesterday, and a clearing sale of cows tor Mr Roberts, of Oolvtou, last Tuesday. j .

Contrary to pp.r.&vat expectation, and in fact our owu, tha entries for our annual sheep fair were very large, and exceeded any previous fair we have held, which is a proof of the increasing popularity of this sale. The attendance was good, though possibly the West Coast was not so well represented as usual. We yarded over 27,000 sheep, of which the bulk were composed of fulN mouth ewes, mainly in rather condition, and of inferior quality to previous fairs. The young sheep offered were generally small, and late shorn. For the few pens of really good sheep entered there was keen competition. Messrs MoHardy Bros, made] 4s for their full-mouth ewes; Anne Bank Lincoln ewes 17s 6d; Mr G. Elliot, of Hastings, 16s lOd; Mr Buick 20s for full-mouth Eomney ewes ; Mr Stevens 20 9d for Border^Leiceater owes bred by R. K. Simpson, cJ Bonny Glen ; Mr iselaon Us Sd for 2-tooth BorderLmoester Lincoln, ewes.
