Feilding School Treat.

The annual treat to the children attending the Feilding State School took place on Friday last, at the Sports ground. The children were marched from the School to tbe grounds, where sports was held and several prizes distributed tothe sdc* cessfnl winners. The children were regaled with a sumptous tea provided by the Committee. After partaking of the good things provided, three cheers were given f orthe committee for providing the tea, and the master and teachers. It is needless to say the children and their friends spent a most pleasant afternoon. The prizes were distributed m the evening at the Town Hall by Mrs Sherwill. .the following are the prize-takers : — Standaid VI — Two handsome books given by A. Macdonald, Esq., of Awahuri, as Ist and 2nd prizes, were awarded to Alex Johnston aud Margaret J. Johnston respectively. Two other handsome volumes given by D. H. Macarthur, Esq., were awarded to Elizabeth Diamond and Jessie Thompson for highest passes m sth and 4th Standards respectively.
