PRECIS OF LETTERS. .Public Works Office, 4 Jan., 1878.— That the Government will 'be prepared to hand over to the Council, by instalments of . £250 per month, amount for continuation of the "Kimbolton road through the S&n don Block, oh the certificate of the Engineer or County Chairman that the amount : certified has been duly expended;;Mr; J. Barton, Engineer^ re Kimbolton road.^-Nothing has been done; at the remainder of Allen's Contract for bush felling. Would suggest that the contract be completed at once, arid that the Council represent the matter to the Government.
