Septembcsi 1 28. Montagu Pym sold by auctidn five hundred shares m the Union Insurance Company at from 10s 3d to 11s 6d premium. There was spirited competition. All the emyloyes on the " Daily Times " £ot notice this evening that their services will not be required after to*morrow week. It is now generally understood that Messrs Reed and.Fenwick are the purchasers, and that the " Gudrdian " will be incorporated with the " Times.'* ~ Tuesday. John Gattely charged with committing a criminal offence on a little girl eleven years of age was sentenced to 5 years and 50 lashes.
