FRENCH CABINET’S REQUEST. (Rec 10.20 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. 28. The French Cabinet, after discussing a Note from Britain, America, and Russia concerning the drawing up of the peace treaties with Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Finland, decided to ask the “Big Three” for fuller detailsThe official spokesman said that France felt that the Europeaan countries should play the major part in European affairs. ;“It is out of the question for France to,; ask to be one of the signatories of peace with the Balkan States with which she has not been at war, but we . think it is at least fair that" she should be consulted about everything which concerns the reconstruction of Continental Europe.” The spokesman pointed out that countries like Greece and Yugoslavia, which suffered from the Italian invasion, would, have no part in the peace treaty with Italy. ITALIAN - CRITICISM (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 28. Rome newspapers criticised the peace treaty proposals of the Moscow Conference, declaring that Italy’s 18 months’ co-belligerency was given no weight. 11 Tempo refers to Italy’s deep and undeserved disillusionment at being placed on an equal footing with other former enemy Powers.
