REBELLIOUS RISING
LEADERS PUNISHED (Rec. 12.10.) BAGHDAD, Dec. 27 A Court-martial has sentenced to death in their absence Mulla Mustafa Albarazani, his brother, Sheikh Ahmad Albarazani, and 33 of their followers who were charged with rebellion against the Iraq Government. Reuter's Bagdad correspondent says that those condemned 'are leading Kurdish tribesmen who launched a revolt in Norther Iraq last August and established a Kurdish Committee of liberation. Iraq Government troops, supported by planes, attacked and occupied the rebel stronghold in Northern Kurdistan last October, but Mulla Mustafa, his brother, and the remnants of their followers fled to Iran.
