DREDGING OF HARBOUR
GOVERNMENT GRANT OBTAINED. (Press Assn.) OAMARU, Dec. 27. The Minister of Health (Mr Nordmeyer) has been informed by the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash) that, after careful consideration of representations made by the Oamaru Harbour Board concerning the need for dredging the Oamaru harbour, Cabinet has decided that a grant of £IO,OOO will be made to the board to enable, a dredging programme to be undertaken. The details of the work to be undertaken, said Mr Nordmeyer, would have to be submitted to the Commissioner of Works.
