SEIZED GERMAN LIQUOR
OFFICERS COURT-MARTIALLED. (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14. Capt. John Birnie Allan, a padre and welfare officer at the British Control Commission’s headquarters at Buiide was sentenced to dismissal from the Service for conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline by seizing and; taking away 3900 pottles of liquor from a German store.
Lieut. William Tyrell, catering adviser on the Commission’s headquarters staff, was sentenced to be. cashiered for the civil offence of stealing gin and spirits. Three other staff officers were severely reprimanded oil a charge of seizing and taking spirits away.
