FIRE AT MEAT WORKS
(Press Assn.) HASTINGS, Dec. 15. A fire which broke out about 11 o’clock last night burnt out the storeroom in the pie-wool processing department at the Hawke's Bav Farmers’ Meat Company works at Whakatu. No estimate of the loss was obtainable today, but the management stated that very little wool had been destroyed. The damage done would, not affect the operations at the works.
