LOWERING OF TARIFFS
SWEDEN’S POLICY
(2.30 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, Dec. 14. Sweden has accepted the United Nations invitation to attend the international trade confererice in 1946. Sweden’s policy was for free trade through multilateral agreements and the lowering of tariffs, said the Trade Minister (Dr Gunnar Myrdal). Sweden’s protective tariffs are already comparatively low. Efforts are being made to decrease some tariffs -still lower.
