FEILDING STOCK SALE
LIGHT YARDING. Penned in moderate numbers the store sheep at the stock sale in Feilding today comprised shorn and woolly wether and ewe hoggets. Wethers and ewes in limited numbers came forward in the fat sheep section. Station store cattle were well represented, but there was little on offer in the beef section. There was a light offering of dairy and' boner cattle. Prices up to 1 p.m. were:' — Fat sheep.—Wethers, 5 at 24s lOd, 10 at‘ 30s, 15 at 26s 4d, 24 at 37s 4d, 12 at 36s Id)’ 26 at 37s Id, 26 at 24s lOd, 17 at 30s Id, 32 at 28? lOd, 23 at 28s Id; hoggets shorn, 13 at 23s Id, 6 at 18s lOd, 28 at 255, ,28 at 22s 7d, 21 at 23s 9d ; woolly, 18 at 23s 4d. 26 st 21s lOd, 7 at 25s Id, 4 at 27s 103; ewee, woolly, 6 at 24s 4d, 9 at 26s ld,l) 7 (maiden) at 30s Id; shorn, 35 at Ife lOd, 16 $t 18s 4d. 74 at 19s Id, 47 at 20s Id, 17 at 13s 4d. 20 at 18s 7d. Store cattle. —Cows, £4 5s to £6 17s 6d;'-~ ■ylg. Jersey heifers, £3 16s to £5 16s; ylg. Jersey bulls, £5. . i Station cattle.— 33 3-yr P.A. heifers at £8 17s; TO bullocks at £l2 14s; 40 4 arid 5-yr do. at £l3 16s. Dairy cattle.—Heifers r.w.b. at £l3 15s; heifers in milk at £7 to £10; cows r.w.b. at £4 5s to £8 10s; cows in milk at £4 .1 to £7. The market for station cattle and store sheep was not strong, there being a number of passings in both sections.
