At a well-attended meeting of the Palmerston North branch of . the A.S.R.S., held on Nevember 18, the following resolution was carried: “That this branch, whose membership includes a large number of rural voters, endorses the Government’s legislation m abolishing the country quota, and affirms the principle of one vote one value. We deplore the attitude adopted by the Opposition in endeavouring to pit down against country on such a measure as this, which places the whole of our citizens on an eqiial basis in the selection of our Parliamentary representatives.”
