j At a meeting of the Manawatu-Oroua ■ Division of the Boys' and Girls' Agncut- - tural Club, Mr H. R. Green presiding, Mr L. Lange reported on the entries received for ine competition tins year, stating that the calf entries totalled 643 and plots 279, the aggregate being 125 in ex ; cess of last year's figures. In the Wanganui Lducation Board's district the entries aggregated 2000. The chairman thanked Mr i„ange for his report and for the personal interest he had shown in the work. It was decided to provide a special cilass ac uie championship meeting lor ringcrait, Mr J. \V, Mtewart having made the suggestion that an award should be made lor . uiildren who had trained their calves to load well, lie promised a prize of ill, and fair- S. Burgess) ; Carnarvon, Clydesdale and Oroua Downs. November 13 (Mr Green): Pare vvanui, Waitohi and Rongotea. November 14 (Mr H. D. Brewster): -Milson, Newbury and Kopane. November 15 (Mr Ranford) : Bunnythorpe and Kairanga. November 16 (Mr Green): Te Arakura Colyton and Taonui. November 19 (Mr J. H. Mason): Kakariki, Halcombe and Tokorangi. November 20 (Mr W. Wilson): Kiwitea and Kimbolton. November 21 (Mr Wilson): Valley Road and Apiti. November 22 (Mr Wilson): Rangiwahia. November 23 (Mr Wilson): Otamakapua and Orangipongo. November 26 (Mr A. O'Donnell): Mt. Biggs, Manchester Street and Lytton Street, November 27: Championship ,of district at Feilding Showgrounds in conjunction with Young Farmers' Club Show.
Tho question of ringcraft is to be debated at the next annual_ meeting, Mr -.E. W. Seville having given notice of motion that the matter be defined. Reference to the illness of the club's patron, Mr W. J. Crouchor, was made and it was the express wish of the meeting that the secretary (Mr C. V. Jewell) convey tho club's sympathy and wishes for his speedy recovery.
