CANADIANS SENTENCED
VOLUNTARILY AIDED ENEMY. (Rec. 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 28. Canadian military headquarters have announced that a Court-martial imposed the following sentences, on three former members of the Essex and Scottish Regiment taken prisoner at Dieppe in 1942 for voluntarily 'aiding the enemy: Private John Galaher, penal servitude for life : Private Edwin Martin, 25 years' imprisonment; Private George Hale, 10 years' imprisonment. All are to be discharged with ignominy from the Army.
