NO BRITISH OBLIGATION
(Eec. 11.20 a,m.) LONDON, Sept. 28. The Secretary of War (Mr J. J. Lawson) denied that the fulfilment of Britain's obligations to her allies involved fighting the peoples of Java and Indo-China for the Dutch and the French,, says Eeuter's Singapore correspondent. Mr Lawson said the policy in Java and Indo-China was a matter for the Foreign Secretary. His visit to the South-East Asia Command had no political object; he came out to see the troops.
