WEST END SCHOOL
There was an attendance of over 50 at a gathering on Tuesday evening, of the West End School tflrent-Teachers Association, the first since the inception of the organisation a short time ago. the chair was occupied by the president (Mr A. G. Steggles) who explained briefly the aims of the association. Dr. T. C. Lonie, Medical Officer of Health, gave a short address defiing with the development and expansion of the current aims of the Health Department for the betterment of health among the children, and he followed this with the screening of films on the same subject, showing how it was being studied . and advanced in England. Thanks wore exnressed to Dr. Lome by the headmaster (Mr H. W. Jackson), who is also a member of the committee, Mr Jackson praising the work of ihe school nurses.
