When employees of a motor garage in MacArthur Street were carrying out welding repairs to the chassis of a motor truck, yesterday; a spark from the welding torch ignited petrol leaking from a petrol pipe. Tho outbreak necessitated a call being given to the Fire Brigade. The truck, which is owned by Mr J. Sylva, had been pushed outside the gargao on the brigade's arrival and the fire was extinguished with a lead of hose. Extensive damage was done to the cab and engine.
