BRITISH FISCAL POLICY
LONDON, Sept. 3. The right to take part- in framing Britain’s fiscal policy is claimed by the general council of the Trades Union Congress in a report which will bo submitted to the annual conference opening in Blackpool on September 10, states the Daily Telegraph. The report states that the Trades Union Congress, as representative of the interests and work of the people, both as producers and consumers, should be consulted by the Government in determining its fiscal policy. It would be appropriate for the congress to issue annually before the Budget a statement embodying suggestions for immediate changes in the tax structure and the Government’s fiscal policy.
