ARMY OF THE RHINE

(Rec. 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 24. The British Liberation Army no longer exists. It will in future be known as the British Army of the Rhine, states an announcement from General Montgomery's HeadquartersGeneral Montgomery, in a message to his troops, said: Although our name changes, we still have the same task. We have to help to rebuild Europe from the ruins. It is a gigantic task, but we must face it with the same spirit of service in the common cause of freedom as that which strengthened us during the stress and strain of war. AVe have achieved much together in war; let us even more in peace.
