(From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Aokautere Women's Institute was presided over by Mrs Mackie. Correspondence included a circular from the Feilding A. and P. Association with an invitation to participate in its show, also an appeal for the, lepers, to which was sent £l. Interest was shown in the flower show which is being hold in November; an attraetivo schedule h.',s been drawn up, and members were urged to support it. The committee is working hard for the birthday dance to be held soon. Miss '/,. Orr won the penny competition and other competitions resulted: —Bloom, small, Miss Lankshcar 1 Miss Orr and Miss Anderson, equal, 2; large, Mrs Lankshcar and Mrs Orr, equal 1, Miss Orr 2, Mis? Anderson 3: garden crcle. Miss Anderson 1, Mrs Orr 2, Mrs Lankshcar 3; bed socks, knitted, Miss Anderson and Miss Orr, equal 1, Mrs Mackie 2, Mrs Hopcroft 3.
