NEW ZEALAND CRUISER
PART OF OCCUPATION FLEET. (Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 23. The New Zealand cruiser Achilles and two Australian destroyers will he part of the Third I'leet, which wiil anchor in Tokio Bay when the Allies occupy Japan, says Reuter’s correspondent aboard the battleship Duke of Curie. , . The Duke of York, carrying Admiral Eraser as official British representative at the peace ceremony, will anchor close to the American battleship Missouri, on whose decks the surrendei will he signed. The British force in Tokio Bay will he only part of the group which lias been operating with the Americans in the last month in attacks against Japan. The remainder of the group was detached some days ago for other duties when Japan surrendered.
