RUSSIAN DEMAND
LESSON FOR JAPANESE. (Rec. noon) MOSCOW, Aug. 23. The newspaper Izvestia, commenting on Japan’s surrender, demands the punishment of Japanese war crim mals. It states: “The Japanese leaders do not yet understand the lesson of their crushing defeat and the Japanese Government is. not making an'v radical changes. Japan is .capitulating, but slid is clearly carrymg out the capitulation at a slowed-down tempo.
