DEMOBILISING AT OHAKEA

The demobilisation of certain trade units and members of the W.A.A.F. at the Oliakea Air Force station began yesterday, when a commencement was made on medically boarding the personnel. It is understood that there are about 800 men and women a fleeted and it is anticipated that 100 members a day will be dealt with. The R.N.Z.A.F. Technical Training School at Nelson is to he transferred to Hobsonville, Auckland, as soon as it can be accommodated at the northern station. In the meantime the general demobilisation of station personnel is to proceed,' says a Nelson message.
