Mr W. E. Burley, 8.A., of Auckland, vice-president of the New Zealand Methodist Church Conference, is a visitor to Palmerston North and is the guest of Mr and Mrs T. C. Bycroft, Russell Street.-Staff-Sergeant T. Moir, D.C.M., of Hamilton, who served throughout the campaigns in North Africa, Greece and Crete, and who was taken a prisoner of war three times, recently returned to the Dominion and is the guest of Mr and Mrs R. A. Holmes, of Grey Street, Palmerston North. Staff-Sergt. Moir was attached to Military Intelligence before he was captured the second time, and assisted in evacuating a number of New Zealand, Australian and English troops to safety from Crete.
