ELIGIBILITY DOUBTED. WINNER AT PAKUKANGA. AUCKLAND, Aug. 21. The question' whether United Nations, the winner, was eligible to run in the Bullock-Webster Handicap at Ellerslie on Saturday will have to be considered by the committee of the Pakuranga Hunt Club. The conditions of the Bulloek-Web-sler Handicap say: "No horse will be eligible which has won a race of any description of the value of more- than £IOO prior to the time of starting (hunters' races excepted)." United Nations won the Waiinata Hack Handicap at Gisborne on February 10. According to the Racing Caleti dar the race was worth £llO to the winner. The Waimata Handicap at Gisborne was a hack event with a stake of £l4O--first £llO, second £2O, third £lO. United Nations is a four-year-old mare by Lang Bian—Blue Vision, raced by Mr E. N. Fitzgerald, Gisborne, and trained by J. Nicolson. She won the Bullock-Webster Handicap for amateur riders by a neck from Fox Hunting. Old Mack was third and Flying Gold was fourth.
