ECONOMIC COLLABORATION
(Hoc. 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 21. Mr Oliver Lyttelton, resuming the House of Commons debate on the Address-in-Reply, criticised the Government for its omission from the King's Speech of the Government's attitude towards economic collaboration with other countries, particularly the United States, lie said the standard of lile of every citizen in Britain and nearly every citizen throughout the Empire and "Commonwealth was bound to iail without the sympathetic help and a large measure uf financial aid from tae united states. Mr Lyttelton called for a statement showing the quantities of fowl and raw materials supplied without payment under Lend-Lease and the proportion they bore to the total consumption. "If vou wish to obtain assistance from the United States you must be careful about the nasty things you say about private enterprise that will affront American opinion," he said. "Professor Laski's remarks are treated seriously in the United States."
