DEFENDER OF MALAYA
LIBERATION IN MANCHUKUO. (10.40 a.m.) CHUNGKING, Aug. 20It is learned on high authority, says the Associated Press, that LieutenantGeneral Percival, the British commander in Malaya, and Sir Shenton Thomas, Governor of Malaya, are among the prisoners with General Wainwright who are expected to reach Chungking soon from a prison camp in Manchukuo.
