INFANTILE PARALYSIS

OUTBREAK IN NEW JERSEY. NEW YORK, Aug. 6. The immediate quarantining of all children under 16 has been ordered at Trenton (New Jersey) in consequence of a serious outbreak of infantile paralysis, of which 44 cases, eight of them fatal,' have been reported since July 1. The children have boon banned from local shops. Swimming pools, picture theatres, churches and playgrounds have been closed and physicians have urged parents to keep their children in their own backyards until the epidemic .subsides.
